We left our hotel early to get to the Edinburgh Castle. Just walking to the castle was cool because there was bagpipes playing and all the shops had plaid in the windows. It has such a different feel from England and all the other places we have visited. It was really cold and window since we were just miles from the coast. It really was such a pretty city and if it wasn’t so cold I would love to live there.
We went to the Elephant Café which is where J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter. It was cool but not what I thought. It was like Thai food and not the best but like you have to go because it is famous!! It took a while to even get in but it was so cold outside so it was nice to get inside a building. After the Castle and Elephant Café we had an awkward amount of time so we went to Marks and Spencer’s. It was awesome!! It was like a JCP and H&M but had some good stuff on clearance. By the time we went to leave it was getting dark, so we couldn’t see the coast on the way out of Edinburgh which was too bad. We ended up in a motel which was a big down grade from the cute B&B in Ambleside.
