One of the other girls and I had to go to the Metro station early to get a Metro pass before we had class. There is a bakery on the way to the Metro that we stopped to get some breakfast, I got a chocolate echair. We went straight to the Mona Lisa. The place is so big! You could spend so many hours in there and still not see all of the pieces. Look how big this painting is! I can't even imagine how many hours that took to complete. The level of detail was amazing. The entire palace is filled with art and even the basement. We got stuck in the Egyptian wing for almost an hour. You walk all the way done these halls that just keep going and going only to find that there is no exit and you have to turn around and go all the back to get out. If there was ever a fire I'm not sure how people would get out and they don't seem to have a sprinkler system because that would ruin the art. Look at the level of detail on the stone. We then walked to find the Norte Dame. The river is very flooded. You can't walk on the walk ways that are rightn next to the river. We were able to go inside. They were having evening mass. It was very interesting to watch. They had a lady with a beautiful voice singing some sort of song during different times in the mass. We need to go back and climb to the top. Then we just wandered around for a little while till we found a metro station to go back to the hotel.
