After class we took 3 different trains to get to Hampton Court. It took about 1 and half hours to get there. There really wasn’t that much to see at the court so we didn’t spend too long there. The Maze was closed so that was sad because everyone wanted to go to it. The gardens were our favorite parts. The fountain was turned on and we were like I wish we could go to Versailles on a day like today. After the Court we took the train to Covent Garden to get Liza her new phone. Her Iphone broke in Paris even though she got it 2 days before we left on the trip so she has been waiting for a new one since they had to ship it from the US. In Covent Garden there are lots of shops to look at and vendors. They have store called Ben’s Cookies and they are so good! They taste just like the old McDonalds cookies. So good!! Then we stopped at a few stores like Zara and TK Maxx. We didn’t get anything but just looked around. TK Maxx is the same as TJ Maxx. They have the same labels and everything just with a K instead of a J. Look at this sweater. Do you see how the arms are so long? I don’t get fashion some times.
Then we headed back for dinner and homework. I lot of people are going to shows all this week. I might go to one but the the cheap tickets have such bad seats that I’m not sure it is worth it. There are some seats that are only like 5 pounds, but it is standing room only and I don’t feel like standing for a 2 and half hour performance. The two that I would want to see are Les Mis. And Phantom of the Opera. I really want to go to the Ballet. I’m so bummed the other night I found killer seats at the Ballet for only 14 but I had kitchen duty, and everyone was going to shows so they couldn’t cover me. I like London, but I don’t like the Centre. The just isn’t time to do anything. In the other cities we didn’t do dinner together so after the site visits we had a free schedule to do whatever we wanted but having to come all the way back to the centre for dinner and go back out. I mean it just feels like I paid a lot of money to study in London in a class room and I know most of the others in the group feel the same.
